About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Obstetrics / Labor & Delivery for a 13-week night-shift contract in Machias, Maine. The RN will provide individualized nursing care to patients across the obstetric continuum, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecologic care.
This position requires strong clinical judgment, patient assessment skills, education abilities, and effective collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary staff. Holiday coverage is required.
ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for assigned obstetric patients.
Provide care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecologic patients.
Perform general nursing and unit-specific clinical skills in accordance with established standards of practice.
Educate patients and families while maintaining confidentiality and supporting quality patient care.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members while managing necessary unit supplies and equipment.
Minimum 2 Years of RN Experience Required.
Minimum 1 Year of Acute Care RN Experience Required Per Requisition Narrative.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required.
Current, Active RN License Required; Specific State Licensure Requirement Must Be Verified.
Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certification, And STABLE Required; COVID-19 Vaccination Required Per Stated State Mandate.
